1. Website Terms of Use

1.1 Chef Media Ltd trades as The Staff Canteen and TSC. The terms and conditions (the "Terms") set out below will govern your use of this website (the "Site"). The Site is owned and operated by Chef Media Ltd  as the case may be, companies registered in England and Wales (whose respective company number is 12942466), at registered address Ward Goodman St Mary's House North Street Wareham Dorset BH20 4AG ("Chef Media Ltd", "Us", "We" or "Our"). Our VAT number is 361 215 626. The Site and the Information (as described below) are designed to be compliant with applicable UK laws, rules and regulations. Although users outside of the UK may have access to the Site, the information contained on the Site is intended only for use by residents of the UK. The Staff Canteen specifically reserves all rights to limit provision of Our products and services to select persons, countries or geographic regions.

1.2 Please read these Terms carefully. By continuing to access and use the Site you are deemed to have understood and agreed to them. If you do not agree to them you must refrain from using this Site and any services available through it.

2. Disclaimer

2.1 This Site contains information, text, data, graphics, photographs, illustrations, artwork, names, logos, trademarks and information about The Staff Canteen and its partners and on the products and services it and they provide (the "Information").

2.2 The Site, Information and Content (as described below) is provided "as is" and on an "as available" basis only and The Staff Canteen does not guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, completeness, performance or fitness for a particular purpose of the Site or any of the Content or Information. The Staff Canteen has made every effort to ensure that all the Information provided on the Site is correct at the time of publication. However no responsibility is accepted by or on behalf of Chef Media Ltd for any errors, omissions, or inaccurate Information or Content on the Site. Further, The Staff Canteen does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error free or that any defects will be corrected.

2.3 Chef Media Ltd accepts no liability for the results of any action taken on the basis of the Information or Content and all implied warranties, including but not limited to the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy are excluded from these Terms to the extent that they may be excluded as a matter of law. We do not attempt to exclude any rights you may otherwise have as a consumer that we cannot exclude as a matter of law.

2.4 When you purchase a Product or Subscription (as described below), The Staff Canteen’s liability in contract, tort or otherwise arising out of or in connection with the performance or observance of its obligations to supply any Product or Subscription under these Terms shall be limited to the amount of the price paid by you to Us in respect of the Product or Subscription in question.

2.5 Without prejudice to clause 2.4, save in respect of death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or fraud, neither The Staff Canteen nor any of its directors, employees or other representatives will be liable for any loss you suffer including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss, or any damages arising from loss of use, data or profits, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, arising out of or in connection with the use of this Site.

2.6 You accept that after you leave this Site (whether knowingly or not) The Staff Canteen can no longer be responsible or accept responsibility in any way for any material that you encounter and We exclude to the fullest extent permitted by law all liability that may arise with respect to or as a result of such material causing any damage, costs, injury or financial loss of any kind.

2.7 You indemnify and hold The Staff Canteen and any of its officers, employees or agents harmless from and against all and any expenses, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses incurred or suffered and any claims or legal proceedings which are brought or threatened, in each case arising from your use of, or conduct on, the Site, any provision or use of your Content and/or any breach of these Terms.

3. Registration

3.1 To order Products or Subscriptions, contribute Content or use any services we provide through The Staff Canteen Site, you must register your details with Us (including your name and e-mail address) to become a registered user ("User"), and you agree to Our processing your personal details in accordance with Our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to Our Privacy Policy you should not become a User of this service. The Staff Canteen reserves the right to contact you, directly through various media with products that relate to the services of The Staff Canteen.

3.2 You are solely responsible for all use of and for protecting the confidentiality of your email verification and password. You must not share this information with any third parties. You must notify Us immediately of any unauthorised use of them or any other breach of security regarding Our Site that comes to your attention. Additionally, you indemnify Us against any unauthorised use of your User details, including use by a third party where you have allowed or facilitated access.

3.3 You undertake to register as a User using accurate, complete and current information and to maintain and update any changes to that information.

3.4 You acknowledge that permission to become a User is granted at the sole discretion of The Staff Canteen and such permission may be withdrawn at any time without notice.

4. Linking

4.1 Websites or web pages to which this Site is linked are for information purposes and have not been reviewed by The Staff Canteen. To the extent that such websites or web pages do not contain information about The Staff Canteen, our Products and Services, we accept no responsibility for the content of such Sites or web pages, nor do we accept responsibility for any losses or penalties incurred as a result of your use of any links or reliance on the content of any website to which this Site is linked.

4.2 When you access a website, through a link from The Staff Canteen site, you accept that it is independent from the Site and that The Staff Canteen has no control over the content of the linked third party website. Accordingly a link to a website does not mean that The Staff Canteen endorses or accepts any duty or responsibility for the content, accuracy or the use of the contents of such website. Although The Staff Canteen strives to link to third party websites which comply with applicable laws, rules and regulations, the content on these websites may change without notice to The Staff Canteen. You should take precautions to insure protection of your privacy as well as to insure against Destructive Features (as described below).

5. Computer Viruses, Worms and Trojan Horses

5.1 Whilst we use reasonable endeavours to protect this Site (including information and downloads) from computer viruses, worms, Trojan Horses and other such destructive features (the "Destructive Features"), we do not warrant that the Site is free from such Destructive Features and accept no liability for any damage that may result from the transmission of any Destructive Feature via this Site or via any files which are available for you to download from the Site. You are responsible for implementing sufficient procedures and virus checks (including anti-virus and other security checks) to satisfy your particular requirements for the accuracy of data input and output.

5.2 You are responsible for ensuring that your computer system meets all relevant technical specifications necessary to use the Site or any service made available through it and that it is compatible with the Site. We make no warranty that the Information is compatible with all computer systems and browsers.

6. Intellectual Property Rights and Reproduction

6.1 Except as is otherwise indicated on the Site, The Staff Canteen and/or its licensors own the copyright in all the Information featured on this Site and all related intellectual property rights, including but not limited to all database rights, unregistered and registered trademarks, service marks and logos. You should not infer any affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement from the use of third party marks on the Site, as such marks are used solely to designate certain products or services as belonging to their owners. Nothing in this Site is intended to grant, by implication or otherwise, any licence or right under any patent, trademark or other intellectual property owned by The Staff Canteen or any licensor or third party.

6.2 You are permitted to download, print, store temporarily, retrieve and display Information from the Site on a computer screen, print individual pages on paper (but not photocopy them) and store such pages in electronic form on disk (but not on any server or other storage device connected to the network) for your personal use or for internal use within your organisation.

6.3 You are not permitted (except where we have given you express permission to do so or you are otherwise permitted to do so by law) to adapt, modify, copy, reproduce, distribute, republish, disassemble, decompile, reverse engineer, create derivative works from, download, post, broadcast, transmit or re-transmit in any other way any of the Information on the Site.

7. Participating in online communities

7.1 If applicable, Users of this Site may post CVs, job searches, comments and other content, questions, or other information ("Content") onto the Site, as long as the Content is not illegal, obscene, pornographic, abusive, threatening, defamatory, false, unreliable, misleading, invasive of privacy, infringing of intellectual property rights, or otherwise injurious to third parties, or objectionable, does not consist of or contain software viruses, political campaigning, commercial solicitation, chain letters, mass mailings, or any form of "spam” and does not bring the Site or The Owners into disrepute. You may not use a false e-mail address, impersonate any person or entity, or otherwise mislead as to the origin of any Content. We reserve the right (but not the obligation) to remove or edit any Content.

7.2 By posting photos, videos, recipes, menus "Content" on this Site, you grant the following rights to the following persons unless and until you remove your Content from this Site or notify Us of the revocation of this licence: (a) to The Staff Canteen: (i) a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free and fully sub licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such Content throughout the world in connection with the Site; and (ii) the right to use the name that you submit in connection with such Content unless you notify Us otherwise; (b) to each user of this Site, a non-exclusive licence to access your Content through this Site, and to use, reproduce, distribute and display such Content as permitted under these Terms.

7.3 After posting your Content to this Site, you continue to retain all ownership rights in such Content, and you continue to have the right to use your Content in any way you choose. The licence does not grant Us the right to sell your Content, nor does the licence grant Us the right to distribute your Content outside of the Site.

7.4 You represent and warrant that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to the Content that you post; that, as at the date that the Content is submitted to The Staff Canteen: (i) the Content is accurate; (ii) use of the Content you supply does not breach any applicable Staff Canteen policies or guidelines and will not cause injury to any person or entity (including that the Content is not defamatory). You agree to indemnify The Staff Canteen for all claims brought by a third party against The Staff Canteen arising out of or in connection with a breach of any of these warranties.

7.5 You are solely responsible for the Content that you post on or through the Site. The Staff Canteen does not endorse and has no control over the Content. Content is not necessarily reviewed by Us prior to posting and does not necessarily reflect the opinions or policies of The Staff Canteen.

8.0 Content Posted

8.1 The site may reject, refuse to post or delete any Content for any or no reason, including Content that in the sole judgment of The Staff Canteen, that it deems violates this Agreement or which may be offensive, illegal or violate the rights of any person or entity, or harm or threaten the safety of any person or entity. The Staff Canteen assumes no responsibility for monitoring The Staff Canteen for inappropriate Content or conduct. The Staff Canteen may choose to monitor such Content at any time, in its sole discretion. If at any time The Staff Canteen chooses to monitor the site services, The Staff Canteen nonetheless assumes no responsibility for the Content, no obligation to modify or remove any inappropriate Content, and no responsibility for the conduct of the User submitting any such Content.

8.2. You are solely responsible for the Content that you post on or through any of The Staff Canteen website, and any material or information that you transmit to other Users and for your interactions with other Users.

9.0 Content/Activity Prohibited.

You must use The Staff Canteen in a manner consistent with any and all applicable laws and regulations. The below listed are examples of the kind of Content that is illegal or prohibited to post on or through The Staff Canteen. The Staff Canteen reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate legal action against anyone who, in The Staff Canteen sole discretion, violates this provision, including without limitation, removing the offending Content from The Staff Canteen and terminating the Membership of such violators. Prohibited Content includes, but is not limited to, Content that, in the sole discretion of The Staff Canteen:

9.1  is patently offensive or promotes racism, bigotry, hatred or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual;

9.2  harasses or advocates harassment of another person/persons;

9.3  exploits people in a sexual or violent manner;

9.4  contains nudity, excessive violence, or offensive subject matter or contains a link to an adult website;

9.5  solicits personal information from anyone under 18;

9.6  publicly posts information that poses or creates a privacy or security risk to any person/persons;

9.7  constitutes or promotes information that you know is false or misleading or promotes illegal activities or conduct that is abusive, threatening, obscene, defamatory or libellous;

9.8  constitutes or promotes an illegal or unauthorized copy of another person’s copyrighted work;

9.9  involves the transmission of "junk mail,” "chain letters,” or unsolicited mass mailing, instant messaging, "spimming,” or "spamming”;

9.10  contains restricted or password only access pages or hidden pages or images (those not linked to or from another accessible page);

9.11  furthers or promotes any criminal activity or enterprise or provides instructional information about illegal activities including, but not limited to making or buying illegal weapons, violating someone’s privacy, or providing or creating computer viruses;

9.12  the soliciting of passwords or personal identifying information for unauthorized commercial or unlawful purposes from other Users and members;

9.13  that involves commercial activities and/or sales outside of a commercial advertiser account or without prior written consent from The Staff Canteen such as contests, sweepstakes, barter, advertising, or pyramid schemes;

9.14  includes a photograph or video, recipe, menu’s of another person, or that belongs to another person that you have posted without that person’s consent; or

9.15  violates their privacy rights, publicity rights, defamation rights, copyrights, trademark rights, contract rights or any other rights of any person. Listed below are examples of the kind of activity that is illegal or prohibited on the Site and through the use of The Staff Canteen services. The Staff Canteen reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate legal action against anyone who, in The Staff Canteen’s sole discretion, violates this provision, including without limitation, reporting you to law enforcement authorities. Prohibited activity includes, but is not limited to:

9.16  criminal or tortuous activity, including child pornography or erotica, fraud, trafficking in obscene material, drug dealing, gambling, harassment, stalking, spamming, spimming, "pyramid schemes," Ponzi schemes, sending of viruses or other harmful files, copyright infringement, patent infringement, or theft of trade secrets;

9.17  advertising to, or solicitation of, any User or member to buy or sell any products or services through the unauthorized or impermissible use of The Staff Canteen Services. You may not transmit any chain letters or junk email to other Users or members.

9.18  circumventing or modifying, attempting to circumvent or modify, or encouraging or assisting any other person in circumventing or modifying any security technology or software that is part of The Staff Canteen site and services

9.19  Forging any TCP/IP packet header or any part of the header information in any posting, or in any way use the Site or The Staff Canteen Services to send altered, deceptive, or false source-identifying information;

9.20  activity that involves the use of viruses, bots, worms, or any other computer code, files or programs that interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware, or otherwise permit the unauthorized use of or access to a computer or a computer network;

9.21  interfering with the access of any User member, host or network to the Site;

9.22  covering or obscuring the banner advertisements on your personal profile page, or any Staff Canteen page via HTML/CSS or any other means;

9.23  including any HTML, CSS or other coding on your personal profile page, including, without limitation, any hidden or otherwise surreptitiously contained code in the Content which is unrelated to the immediate aesthetic nature of the Content;

9.24  any automated use of the system, such as, but not limited to, using scripts to send images or videos;

9.25  interfering with, disrupting, or creating an undue burden on The Staff Canteen or the Services of or the networks or services connected to The Staff Canteen Services;

9.26  impersonating or attempting to impersonate another User, person or entity;

9.27  using the account, username, or password of another Member at any time or disclosing your password to any third party or permitting any third party to access your account;

9.28  selling or otherwise transferring your profile;

9.29  using any information obtained from The Staff Canteen Services in order to harass, abuse, or harm another person or entity, or attempting to do the same;

9.30  displaying an unauthorized commercial advertisement on your profile or personal account, or accepting payment or anything of value from a third person in exchange for your performing any commercial activity through the unauthorized or impermissible use of The Staff Canteen Services on behalf of that person or

9.31  deleting, or in any manner altering or attempting to alter, the copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights notices appearing on any Content except where you own the Content;

9.32  using any meta tags or other hidden text or metadata utilizing a The Staff Canteen name, trademark, URL or product name without express written consent of The Staff Canteen;

9.33  attempting to probe, scan or test the vulnerability of any of The Staff Canteen Service or breach any security or authentication measures;

9.34  collecting or storing of member and user personal data about other users without their express written permission;

9.35  impersonating or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity, through pretexting or any other form of social engineering, or otherwise committing fraud; or

9.36  using The Staff Canteen in a manner inconsistent with any and all applicable laws and regulations.

10. Your Further Use of This Site

You further agree not to use any Information on the Site except to the extent necessary to enable you to use the Site and the services provided through it. You shall not use the Site for any immoral or illegal purpose. In particular you agree that you will not: "upload any files that contain any Destructive Features; or "in any way damage, disable or impair the operation of the Site, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site or to network connected to it, by hacking, spoofing or other such similar means.

11. Orders

11.1 If applicable, when you complete an order form on this Site to order any service/product ("Product") and submit the order to Us using the "˜Submit’ button We will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order. Your order represents an offer to Us to purchase the Product which is accepted only when We send an e-mail confirming that the Product has been dispatched to you or specifying the web site where the Product is located ("Download Area"). There will be no contract for the supply of a Product unless and until The Staff Canteen has issued an Order Acceptance for that Product.

11.2 You must ensure that you have completed any order form correctly. The Staff Canteen does not accept any responsibility for the consequences of any errors in completion.

11.3 Each purchase of a Product will be a separate transaction even if there is more than one Product ordered at the same time.

11.4 Your credit or debit card ("Account") will be debited with the cost of the Product when We send you the Order Acceptance unless We notify you otherwise.

11.5 If, for any reason, your order is not accepted, you will receive e-mail notification telling you of this and your order will be cancelled. In circumstances where your order is cancelled We will not debit any money from your Account.

11.6 At any time when a Product referred to in the Order Acceptance is in the Download Area you may access that Product in the Download Area.

11.7 You will be responsible for the provision of the necessary software and equipment to enable you to access any Product(s) in the Download Area.

11.8 A Product is only available to you in the Download Area for thirty (30) days after the issue of Our Order Acceptance. It is your responsibility to access the Product in the Download Area within the time limit and if you fail to do so for any reason you will not be entitled to any refund of the payment you have made for the Product.

11.9 The Staff Canteen warrants that any Product shall a) conform to the description of the Product advertised on the Site; b) not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party; and c) comply with all relevant legislation.

11.10 No representation or warranty is given that the information contained in any Product purchased from Us is accurate, complete or current.

11.11 We shall not be responsible for your use of the Product. You shall be responsible for complying with any applicable data protection, copyright and other legislation and regulations.

11.12 Any Product supplied by The Staff Canteen is for your use only and may be used only for the personal or, as the case may be, internal operational purposes of the purchasing business. It may not be used for any other commercial purpose whatsoever, nor may it be modified, copied, distributed, transmitted, displayed, performed, reproduced, published, licensed or transferred. No derivative works may be created from it nor may any information obtained from it be sold.

11.13 You may cancel the purchase of a Product within seven working days of the day after the date the item is delivered to you. However, you accept that this right to cancel does not apply to digital items (e.g.: Reports) where the Product is sent to a Download Area since We will begin providing these services to you immediately. To cancel your purchase of a Product under this clause you should notify Us in writing within the seven working day period. You should then package the Product securely and send it to Us with a note confirming the contract cancellation. You are responsible for the costs of returning the Product to Us unless We delivered the item to you in error or the item is faulty. The return address is Order Cancellations, The Staff Canteen Directories at the address in Clause 1.1. Where you are cancelling the purchase of a Product We will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that Product.

12. Free Prize Draws, Surveys and Competitions

12.1. These terms and conditions together with any specific rules set out in Prize Draw/Survey/Competition Notices (as defined below) are the Competition Rules ("Rules") and apply to Prize Draw/Survey/Competitions on the www.thestaffcanteen.com ("Competition"), unless otherwise expressly stated. By entering a "Competition", entrants agree to be bound by these Rules.  A copy of specific Prize Draw/Survey/Competition "Rules" please email [email protected].

12.2. The Competition is organised by Chef Media Ltd is a registered in England no 12942466.

12.3. Rules specific to each Competition are displayed in a notice on the page for such Competition ("Competition Notice") and are incorporated into the Rules. In the event of discrepancy between these terms and conditions and the Competition Notice, the Competition Notice shall prevail.

12.4. The Staff Canteen reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition or the Rules without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside The Staff Canteen’s reasonable control. Any changes will be posted either within these terms and conditions or the Competition Notice. A copy of the Rules may also be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to: Competition Rules, The Staff Canteen, Cooking Towers, Castle Keep Corfe Castle Dorset BH20 5HG.

12.5. In the event of any dispute regarding the Rules, conduct, results and all other matters relating to a Competition, the decision of The Staff Canteen shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into. Qualifying Entrants.

12.6. To qualify to enter the Competition you may need to be registered member of The Staff Canteen. The address you provide with your competition entry ("Entry") will be used to send any prizes so please make sure this is correct.

12.7. Employees of The Staff Canteen or any company involved in the Competition or, if relevant, production of a Chefs Forum to which a Competition relates, or any advertising agency or web company connected with The Staff Canteen or any such person’s subsidiary or associated companies, agents or members of their families or households, are not eligible to enter the Competition.

12.8. Additional eligibility requirements may apply to a specific Competition, e.g. a valid passport, visas and/or driver’s licence will be required if the Competition prize includes travel outside the United Kingdom and/or car hire. These will be set out in the Competition Notice.

12.9. By entering the Competition, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete. The Staff Canteen the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.

12.10. Where a Competition is open to all age groups, The Staff Canteen assumes that by using the website and entering the Competition (and you warrant that) you are aged 18 or over or, if you are under 18, that your parents have consented to your entry into the Competition and these Rules. If a Competition is only open to a certain age group (e.g. 18 and over), this will be set out in the Competition Notice and The Staff Canteen assumes that by entering the Competition (and you warrant that) you are the appropriate age to enter the Competition.

12.11 The Staff Canteen reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of the Rules.

12.12 In the event that any entrant is disqualified from the Competition, The Staff Canteen in its sole discretion may decide whether a replacement should be selected. In this event, any further entrant will be selected on the same criteria as the original entrant and will be subject to these Rules.

Competition Entries.

12.13 Only one entry per person per Competition is allowed (except where the Competition Notice states that more than one entry can be submitted) and any entrant who enters more than the permitted maximum will be disqualified. Where a winner has been selected and The Staff Canteen discovers or has reasonable grounds to believe the winner has made more than one Entry, The Staff Canteen reserves the right to select an alternative winner. Any further winner will be selected on the same criteria as the original winner and will be subject to these Rules.

12.14 Competition entries must be made in the manner and by the closing date specified on the Competition Notice. Failure to do so will disqualify the entry.

12.15 There is no purchase requirement to enter a Competition and there is no charge to register for use of the website.

12.16 Proof of posting or emailing cannot be accepted as proof of delivery. The Staff Canteen cannot accept responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft, destruction, alteration of or unauthorised access to Entries, or Entries lost, damaged or delayed as a result of server functions, technical issues, virus, bugs or other causes outside The Staff Canteen control.

12.17 Entrants should note that unless stated otherwise, The Staff Canteen does not accept responsibility for the return of any Entries, including those consisting of artistic or other material.

13. Prizes

Prize winners will be chosen at random unless specified otherwise in the Competition Notice, from all qualifying Entries within 28 days of the closing date specified in the Competition Notice. Tie-breakers will be judged by The Staff Canteen and, if required by law, by an independent adjudicator. In all matters, the decision of the judge(s) and The Staff Canteen shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

13.1. Prize winners will be notified in the manner and within the time specified on the Competition Notice. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable or failure to reply as specified in the notification (and within the time stated) may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. If more than one prize is awarded, only one prize per entrant will be awarded. Competition winner(s)’ names may be published on the website.

13.2. Claims for prizes must be made in the manner and within the time specified on the Competition Notice. Failure to claim a prize within this time or in the manner specified may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.

13.3. Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. The Staff Canteen reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value at any time.

13.4. Prizes are awarded at discretion of The Staff Canteen and no prizes will be awarded as a result of improper actions by or on behalf of any entrant. Where Entries are being judged on creative or artistic merit or other subjective criteria, The Staff Canteen and/or the Competition judges (acting reasonably) reserve the right not to select a winner, and/or to remove or amend selection criteria and/or the structure and operation of the Competition if Entries are not of the requisite standard.

13.5. Where a prize may not be appropriate for a younger contestant, the minimum age for entry will be stated in the Competition Notice and must be observed. The Staff Canteen reserves the right to request written proof of age of any winner.

13.6. All taxes, insurances, transfers, spending money and other expenses (including meals or personal expenses upgrades etc.) as the case may be, unless specifically stated, are the sole responsibility of the prize winner.

14. TSC AWARDS

Making a nomination

14.1 Nominations must be made following the process and rules set out on the Awards Page.

14.2 Our acceptance of your Nomination will take place when you submit your Nomination form online

14.3 To complete your nomination, you will need to submit images and videos that contain intellectual property rights belonging to you and/or another person. You agree that you are the owner of all intellectual property rights in your nomination or have all the necessary consents from all other owners of intellectual property rights in your nomination, to submit the nomination and grant The Staff Canteen the right to share, publish and otherwise use your nomination in all media worldwide forever

14.4 The Staff Canteen reserve the right to move nominations to more appropriate category

Eligibility & Voting

14.5 The Awards Competition is open to entrants fulfilling the Nomination Criteria set out on the Awards Page.

14.6 Nominations will be voted for by The Staff Canteen audience, with a further Short list also being voted for by our audience. Votes during the Nomination stage will be added to the Short List votes, with the highest total number winning. The number of votes will be disclosed and/or made public strictly at our discretion.

14.7 The Shortlist and Winners will be final, we will not accept any appeals.

14.8 We reserve the right not to make any particular award in any given category.

14.9 Your Nomination and any supporting documentation will not be considered confidential information unless clearly identified as ‘Confidential’ and you agree that we can use the information (or parts of the information) contained in the Nomination submitted for publicity purposes in or any media and for the purposes of promoting the Awards.

Winners

All those attending the ceremony will travel to and from it at their own expense.

16. Liability

The Staff Canteen cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the Competition or as a result of accepting any prize. The Staff Canteen is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment or software, failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, telephone lines or at any web site, or any combination of these, including any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer or mobile telephone related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the Competition. Nothing shall exclude The Staff Canteen liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.

17. Data Protection and the Staff Canteen Privacy Policy

We may require basic information which identifies you as an individual, such as your name and email address, in order to enable you to take advantage of our services. We will only use such personal information for the purposes of providing information or services which you have requested or for other related purposes as set out in our Privacy Policy. 19. Changes to the Terms

The Staff Canteen reserves the right, at its discretion, to make changes to any part of this Site, the Information or these Terms. Should these Terms be amended, we will publish details of the amendments on the Site. It is your responsibility to refer to and comply with these Terms on accessing this Site. Failure to comply may lead to action being taken against you By continuing to use the Site after we have published the notification you agree to be bound by these Terms as amended.

20. Severability

If these Terms or any part of them should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable under the laws of any state or country in which these Terms are intended to be effective, then to the extent that they are so illegal, invalid or unenforceable, they shall in that state or country be treated as severed and deleted from these Terms and the remaining terms shall survive and remain in full force and effect and continue to be binding and enforceable in that state or country.

21. Events beyond our control

The Staff Canteen will not be responsible for any breach of these Terms (including in relation to supplying any Product or Subscription) caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including without limitation acts of god, war, terrorism or technical difficulties.
