The aim of the Staff Canteen is to offer Chefs, Cooks and food lovers from all over the world a web site that caters for all their demands, a network of suppliers that can be searched by both category and location, a totally 100% Chefs Jobs page and an events page that highlights both national and local events. There of course the Chefs favourite and original starting point of todays web site the forum.

Chefs can contact you directly by e-mail or personal messages or perhaps you wish to experience a Stagé, the Staff Canteen personal profiles allow you to request that opportunity.
Your profile wall will also display all of the photographs and videos that you’ve uploaded, you add recipes to the Chefs recipe section within your profile - why not share and request recipes from other Chefs, it really is your chance to network with Chefs.

Registering as a Recruiter
At the bottom of the home page, there is a dedicated recruiter icon, please click on the “RECRUIT WITH US” text.
This takes you to the Staff Canteen RECRUITER REGISTRATION form.
Complete all the fields that have a red asteris.
USER NAME This must be filled in and reused every time you log on to the Staff Canteen.
SCREEN NAME is the name that will appear on the screen next to your post and recruiters profile when potential candidates are looking at your career opportunities, it is important to choose a name that represents your company, hotel or restaurant. If NO SCREEN NAME IS FILLED IN THE SYSTEM WILL DISPLAY YOUR USER NAME.
TERMS OF SERVICE – these must be agreed by ticking the box before you can register. The full terms and conditions can be viewed by clicking on the link.
Copy the characters and/or numbers displayed in the image box into the text box below, followed by SUBMIT.
You will then receive a message on your screen confirming that your registration has been successful.
To return to the home page, click on the link provided.
An e-mail is sent to the registered e-mail account for authentication, click on the link to activate your Staff Canteen account.
Creating your Recruiters Profile
When you’ve successfully created your account, click the Manage Profile icon in the top grey bar, this will launch your profile setting page.
In the left hand pain under the “Personal setting menu” is an Edit Profile. As a recruiter YOU ONLY NEED TO COMPLETE the section Bio, please add your company name your full contact details, postal address, e-mail and web links and any text about the services of your company. Candidates will view this information, should they view a job that you are listing within the site. Once this is added you can edit it at anytime, however it means that you only need to enter this information once and the system with generate the information every time a candidate views one of your positions, saving you time when upload your Chef jobs text.
Edit Photo - The Staff Canteen allows Recruiters to display their company logo against every Chef job that you have posted.
Simply upload a picture file, the Staff Canteen Chefs web site supports gif, jpg and png files. Click the browse button and attach the image you wish to use,. The Chef jobs posting supports images up 150x150 pixels; 150kb in size. Once you upload this image the site will generate this every time your create a new Chef job posting.
