Is it down to Capello, the man has won everything he touches, do we need to perhaps accept, that we do play too much club football. To me whoever manages England, the team is always shite, it can't always be the manager surley?

WE have in the premiere league what is described as the best league in the world, with the world's top players on display each Saturday. How many of these are English, we have a 40-year old keeper, Emile Heskey who can't get into the Villa side, so is the lack of home grown talent starting to effect the influx of worldclass English players.

The premiere league operates to protect it's own interests and the F.A a seperate body, almost competeting against the Premiere league, too many matches no English players no real grass roots development.

England where poor no excuses but is this a deep rooted problem?

MONEY MONEY MONEY, young English players being outed by worldwide competitors therefor no room for them to move up the ranks in development of their skills leaving us with the best league in the world but the most under-performing national side in history forget whats happening to France and Italy thats a blip a bloody big blip but lets not forget we didnt even qualify for last European cup

The problem in english football does start at the youth level, apparently a few years ago the german side didn't do very well in a competition (not sure which one) and it was decided that it was due to lack of players coming through from youth. so the German FA made it compulsory for all top flight teams to have an academy in order to find and train the young stars of the future, which does appear to be working rather well, German team is one of the youngest in the competion
