The Springboard Charity pantomime is back and it’s even bigger and better than last year! Off the back of Springderella’s roaring success, this year they are ready to storm the West End with an industry revamp of Aladdin, set to be performed from the 30th of January until the 2nd of February at the Arts Theatre in Soho.
Taking part in or going along to support ‘The Hospitality Industry’s Pantomime – Aladdin’ means supporting Springboard’s mission of promoting the hospitality industry as a truly brilliant place to work, an industry which has people and passion at its heart. It’s a really inclusive event where Springboard want to bring together friends from the industry with the people they work hard to support, so they’ll be inviting apprentices, college students and junior team members along for the big hurrah.
The pantomime is about celebrating what makes hospitality great, and the script has been tailored to include plenty of winks at the wonderful world of service with a smile. Just like last year, the cast will be comprised of many of the hospitality industry’s leading lights, and, well, haven’t you always been just a little bit curious about what some of your colleagues would look like in a garish pair of breeches?
If you think you’d like to take part in the pantomime, Springboard are giving their word that everybody who wants a role will get one, and it might just be the best decision you’ll make all year. It’s a brilliant way to have a laugh, meet other enthusiastic people keen to give back to our wonderful industry, challenge yourself, network, and, of course, expose your hidden talents for the world to see! The casting process is about to take off and is very straightforward, just head to springboarduk.net/panto.
Sprinboard will be hosting a glamorous launch party on the 6th of October at The Curtain Hotel, where you can meet last year’s cast and the team behind the panto to find out all about it. They hope to see lots of friendly faces from 6pm onwards - email Geoffrey at [email protected] to book your place.
If you’re more keen to go along as an audience member to see Widow Twankey and the Genie in all their mischievous glory, all tickets will be £25, and you can follow the directions at springboarduk.net/panto to snap up yours now.
Not only do the show nights offer a great opportunity to network with other hospitality industry professionals but they can also be a really memorable staff outing to end the festive season. Springboard hopes that their current and potential beneficiaries taking part in and attending the event will leave with a sense of how fun the industry can be and excited to embark on a career within it. This event is a stupendously enjoyable way of raising important funds for Springboard’s work helping people achieve their potential and nurturing the disadvantaged and underprivileged into employment in the hospitality industry. If there's ever been a way to have your cake and eat it too, this is it.
