A little over two years ago this gem didn’t exist but what was a pipe dream of Oliver’s has become a reality. Oliver has worked at numerous restaurants in West Yorkshire and has always prided himself on great service and he knew this was going to be the backbone of his dream restaurant.
He has built up a team from scratch and it genuinely is one of the nicest restaurants I have been too, not just because of the food but because of the service you get from the moment you walk through the door. As you arrive the door is opened, you are warmly greeted in like you are a firm favourite customer, even if you have never set foot in the place before.
Your coat is taken and you are taken to your table or shown to the bar. The drinks menu is extensive, with a great choice of wines all which can be taken by the glass and a team who are happy to talk you through the different options and very knowledgable too. No question feels like a hassle, guided with care through the menu and given great drink and food recommendations.
The food is brought out tapas style, each dish being introduced with passion. It really is like you are an old friend to the team and they are all clearly very happy at work which makes the dining experience even more of a pleasure. The place is small and intimate and the team work the room well, being attentive when you need them but leaving you to enjoy your meal at the same time. The food is amazing, but the service really gives it that gold star and makes you leave wondering when you can get in another visit. A fantastic restaurant with a strong and passionate young team who all are an asset to Oliver and the restaurant.
