This is part of a series of bi-monthly blogs from tableware experts Goodfellows showcasing some of their most innovative designs matched with some great recipes by top chefs.

We are all into Scandi Cool, with restaurants like Noma, Box Sets of The Killing, Sarah Lund’s jumpers, Stig Larson’s The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo, H & M, Acne & Ikea.

The equivalent in tableware is Figgjo, a brand that has quiet confidence in its craft and which had waited for the rest of the world to catch up with them. Now that we all appreciate the serious nature of Scandinavian design but love its individuality, we can let ourselves loose on its new-found ‘Cool’ status.

Figgjo has long been one of our personal favourites and now we have them back we are so excited by what they have brought with them. Who knew that all along they were just waiting for their moment. Whether you are a sleek, clean-cut Scandi or a moody, mysterious Scandi, Figgjo has the range for you. They are hard to pigeon-hole. They appeal to formal dining with their elegant, haute cuisine designer plates and then they go all uber-trendy with their Social Dining offering and that’s without their stunning Buffet & Banqueting ranges. So much to see, so much to appreciate. Come and discover Scandi Cool for yourself.
