Chapel Down Highly Commended in the Wine Category at the Members' Choice Awards 2026

Chapel Down has been recognised as Highly Commended in the Wine category at the Members' Choice Awards 2026, an accolade voted for by hospitality professionals across the UK.

The recognition celebrates the products and suppliers that consistently deliver exceptional quality and support to the hospitality industry. Being highly commended reflects Chapel Down's position as England's leading wine producer and its ongoing commitment to producing premium wines that are trusted by chefs, restaurants, hotels and hospitality venues across the UK.

Championing English Wine

As England's leading wine producer, Chapel Down has played a pivotal role in establishing English wine as a world-class category. Working closely with the hospitality industry, the winery has built its reputation on producing premium sparkling and still wines that champion exceptional quality, sustainability and a true sense of place.

Based in Kent, in the heart of the Garden of England, Chapel Down combines traditional winemaking techniques with modern innovation to craft wines that reflect England's unique cool-climate conditions. Its portfolio continues to receive recognition both nationally and internationally while remaining a firm favourite with hospitality professionals.

Investing in the Future of English Wine

This summer marks another exciting chapter for Chapel Down with the opening of The Hythe, a new premium tasting room at the winery's estate in Tenterden. Overlooking the vineyards and herb garden, The Hythe has been designed to give visitors a deeper connection to English wine through guided tastings, private events and the new Kit's Coty Collection Experience.

The immersive experience offers exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the winery, showcasing the craftsmanship and provenance behind Chapel Down's flagship single-vineyard wines.

Award-Winning Wines

Alongside its investment in wine tourism, Chapel Down continues to receive recognition for the quality of its wines. Its Chapel Down Rosé was recently awarded Best English Sparkling Rosé Non-Vintage at the International Wine Challenge 2026, one of the wine industry's most respected global competitions.

Made using the traditional method from a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, Chapel Down Rosé offers aromas of fresh strawberries, raspberries and redcurrants, complemented by subtle citrus zest and baked pastry notes. Crisp and refreshing, with flavours of wild berries and red apple, it is an ideal partner for seafood, charcuterie, seasonal salads, light poultry dishes and classic British summer desserts.

Supporting Hospitality

Welcoming more than 50,000 visitors to its Kent winery each year, Chapel Down continues to champion English wine both at home and abroad. From award-winning wines and memorable visitor experiences to long-standing partnerships with the hospitality industry, the producer remains committed to showcasing the very best of English winemaking, making recognition from the UK's chefs and hospitality professionals especially meaningful.
