Chocolate Week is the UK's biggest chocolate celebration and is happening from the 13th – 19th October. From restaurants creating chocolate inspired menus to The Chocolate Show in London we'll be bringing you all things chocolate.

For this year’s Chocolate Week The Café at Hotel Café Royal is joining in the celebrations from Monday 13th to Sunday 17th October by creating a cocoa-centric menu available to enjoy within or take-away.

A spectacle for the senses, the celebrated window displays will also be dressed creatively with a chocolate haze, with chocolate sculptures as the centrepiece. During Chocolate Week itself, The Café will be unveiling an exclusive new partnership.

Highlights from the light menu include Celtic scallop ceviche, with orange and cocoa nibs, carpaccio of venison, chocolate marshmallows and parmesan and Cocoa Chipotle salsa and crispy fajitas; each dish being a nod to chocolate.

For the sweet tooth, Executive Pastry Chef Andrew Blas and his team have turned their attention to chocolate and have created exclusive treats especially for Chocolate Week, including three new flavours of macaroons: Chocolate and Orange, Milky Bar and Baylands Bahibe, using Valrhona’s intense sweet chocolate.

A new Café signature Circle Lait chocotate torte, Mint and Chocolate Chip shortbread, Chocolate Chiffon Sponge, ‘Cazzella Opera 1865’ and Terracotta Union Cake will also be available exclusively throughout the week alongside the espresso bar with counters lined with delectable chocolates from the chocolatier, and signature pastries and artisan cakes.

The Café will also be serving bespoke “choc-tails”, Pearfect and Gold Whisper designed by the hotel’s creative mixology team, for chocolate fans to complete the experience.
