Pubs and restaurants cut prices in VAT protest


Thousands of pubs and restaurants are dropping their prices by 7.5% on Wednesday in protest at current tax conditions.  The campaign, called "Tax parity day", has been organised by the lobby group of French businessman Jacques Borel.

Great Ormond Street Hospital food 'among UK worst'


Children being treated at Great Ormond Street Hospital have rated its food among the worst in the country.  They gave it a 61 per cent satisfaction rating — the second worst score in  London and the 13th lowest out of more than 1,300 health units surveyed.
