Continuing the Roux dynasty, Emily Roux has established an exclusive partnership with Restaurant Associates, Compass Group UK & Ireland’s fine-dining division, to work as a consultant.

In this role, Emily will work on creating bespoke client menus, guest appearances in client dining restaurants, attend client and team events and support the chefs of Restaurant Associates.

Following in her family’s cooking footsteps, Michel Roux Jr’s daughter, Emily, will bring with her experience and her passion for creating unique and inspiring food. Emily studied at the world renowned Institut Paul Bocuse, where she focused on Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management. She launched her career in the restaurants of Paris and went on to work at Alain Ducasse’s restaurant, La Trattoria, in Monaco. Emily then moved back to Paris and pursued her career at restaurants including Michelin starred le 39V and two Michelin starred Akrame.

Emily Roux commented on her new role: “I’m excited to be cooking alongside my family and Restaurant Associates. I’m looking forward to working with clients and chefs to create inspiring, bespoke menus that are of world class quality. There’s exceptionally talented chefs working in the business and I can’t wait to join the team and share all that I have learnt from my experience and upbringing.”

Restaurant Associates has an outstanding relationship with the Roux family, and currently works in partnership with Albert and Michel Roux Jr, after their Roux Fine Dining organisation was acquired by Compass Group UK & Ireland in 1993. Albert and Michel act exclusively as consultants for Restaurant Associates, helping with the delivery of world class food, service and hospitality to clients.

Michel Roux Jr said: “I’m pleased that our Roux dynasty is being continued by my very talented daughter. It’s great that we’re able to continue our special relationship with Restaurant Associates and work side by side as a family, to create food that is of the highest standard. I’m particularly looking forward to working together at events, where I know our skills will perfectly compliment the others.”

As part of the ongoing association, both Michel and Albert will continue to coach Restaurant Associates’ chefs, as well as hosting master classes for clients, prospective clients and workshops for chefs. Michel also opened Roux at Parliament Square in May 2010, with Restaurant Associates and this new partnership will see Emily and Michel hosting private events side by side at the venue.

James Boyle, Managing Director, Restaurant Associates said: “We’re proud to work in association with the Roux family and to keep this legacy going with a new generation of talent in Emily. We love working with such creative and innovative chefs – it’s inspiring for our people, clients and customers.”
