Blueberry compotes, vanilla biscuits and salted caramel cakes are all set for the seasonal couture makeover as The Berkeley in Knightsbridge announces its first ever collaboration with British Luxury fashion accessories brand Jimmy Choo with the launch of Pret-a-Portea.

Next week all biscuits and cakes will be transformed to resemble the most stylish and iconic accessories from Jimmy Choo.

Soon to celebrate its 10th year anniversary, Pret-a-Portea’s head pastry chef, Mourad Khiat said: “We are excited to be working with Jimmy Choo on this exclusive edition of Pret-a-Portea. Our Pastry Kitchen has been filled with Jimmy Choo handbags and shoes to ensure we truly understand  the  luxurious  feel of the materials, embellishments,  prints  and  patterns. The craftsmanship of each item is exceptional, and we are eager to highlight this in our cakes.”

Pret-a-Portea is designed to add a creative twist to the classic elements of the traditional English afternoon tea, with cakes and pastries resembling the latest catwalk designs for the style conscious.

Defined by its sense of style and glamour, Jimmy Choo have opened their fashionable closet to The Berkeley’s Pastry Team to draw inspiration from their designs and create an edible collection highlighting signature styles including their quintessential pointy toe pump, the Anouk as a vanilla and chocolate biscuit in a myriad of fashionable colours.

The Candy clutch pina colada cake rolled in sweet coconut flakes adorned with silver stars promises to sprinkle some magic this season whilst the monochrome Cayla zebra print bag in chocolate moelleux with roasted pecan topped with a rainbow of meringue drops ads sleek and glamour to the table.

This season’s must have is the glittery Gala pointed-toe shoe in velvet praline cream cake with hazelnut croquant and sweetheart bow and not shy on the red carpet is the pearl studded Cloud salted caramel clutch cake with Valrhona dark chocolate supreme.

Sandra Choi, Creative Director Jimmy Choo said: “We are excited to have our Jimmy Choo collection immortalized by the Berkeley’s Pret-a-Portea, which after nearly 10 years has become such a respected institution in the fashion world. I can’t wait to see our designs interpreted as edible delicacies!”

Pret-a-Portea is served in The Caramel Room at the Berkley from 1-6pm every day priced at £41 per person.
