Hawksmoor has announced plans to open its next London restaurant inside one of the city’s most spectacular Grade I-listed landmarks - the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel.

Founded by Will Beckett and Huw Gott in 2006, Hawksmoor has grown from a single Shoreditch restaurant into one of Britain’s most respected hospitality groups, celebrated for its dedication to sustainable sourcing, top-quality British beef and warm, unpretentious service.

The new site, Hawksmoor St Pancras, will take over the dramatic dining room recently occupied by Michelin-starred chef Victor Garvey’s restaurant Victor Garvey at the Midland Grand which closed earlier this year.

Victor is chef patron of Michelin-starred SO|LA in Soho, and has previously worked at the likes of El BulliFrench LaundryNoma and Las Vegas’s two-starred Picasso.

The venue will feature 95 covers, a private dining room, and - for the first time in the group’s history - a chef’s table, marking a new evolution for the acclaimed steakhouse brand.

A London landmark reborn

Set within the historic St Pancras Chambers, the restaurant will occupy one of the capital’s most architecturally impressive dining spaces, marrying Hawksmoor’s distinctive design aesthetic with the Gothic grandeur of Scott’s 19th-century masterpiece.

The St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, is considered one of the finest examples of Victorian Gothic revival architecture in the world - an iconic setting that perfectly complements Hawksmoor’s approach to heritage, craftsmanship and hospitality.

Co-founders’ dream realised

The Hawksmoor co-founders said the St Pancras project is a “dream come true” and a milestone moment as the group approaches its 20th anniversary.

They described the opening as “a special homecoming” for the brand in the city where it all began, adding that the new site reflects Hawksmoor’s passion for transforming extraordinary spaces into warm, inviting dining rooms.

A global first: The Hawksmoor chef’s table

Hawksmoor St Pancras will also introduce the group’s first-ever chef’s table, offering an intimate dining experience that brings guests closer to the kitchen.

The table will showcase the precision, craft and ingredient-led philosophy that have defined Hawksmoor’s success across its restaurants in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Dublin, New York and Chicago.

The announcement

A post on social media from Hawksmoor said: "Hawksmoor is opening a new London restaurant – and not just anywhere, but inside one of the city’s most jaw-dropping dining rooms. Hawksmoor St Pancras, in the A Grade I listed masterpiece by Victorian Gothic Revival legend Sir George Gilbert Scott (we LOVE a bit of architectural heritage!)

"We couldn’t imagine a more iconic spot. Expect 95 covers, a private dining room, *a chef’s table* (a global Hawksmoor first), all set in one of the most dramatic buildings in the city.

"AND – we’re also taking over the extraordinary Gothic Bar, soon to be the Hawksmoor Martini Bar: a gloriously decorative, high-ceilinged hangout with a terrace, a DJ booth, and an army of bartenders making the coldest Martinis in London (other drinks are available). The perfect place to toast arrivals, departures, or just another Tuesday night in London.

"Our co-founders, Will and Huw, have always dreamed of opening here. As we approach 20 years (!) of Hawksmoor, it feels pretty special to open another beautiful restaurant in the city we are so proud to call home.

"Sign up to our newsletter to be the first to hear about the opening, where we’ll be bringing back the iconic (and often wildly oversubscribed) Hawksmoor soft launches, with *50% off* food."
