“I’m so excited to be joining my former boss and mentor Gordon Ramsay”
Paul Ainsworth has announced he will be joining celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsay and Nyesha Arrington in the Next Level Chef UK.
The chef behind the Michelin-starred Paul Ainsworth at Number 6 in Padstow will be returning to viewer's screens in the UK edition of the US Next Level Chef program.
Fifteen chefs will compete in a series of cooking challenges, after being divided into three teams, under the guidance and judgment of mentors Gordon Ramsay, Nyseha Arrington and Paul Ainsworth.
In each episode, chefs are assigned to cook in one of three kitchens stacked on top of each other. The top level is equipped with a wide range of modern tools and devices, the middle level is a standard commercial kitchen, and the bottom level contains a limited collection of lower-quality equipment.
In a post on social media Paul said: “I can’t believe I can finally tell you about this! The hit US tv show ‘Next Level Chef’ is coming to Britain on ITV. I’m so excited to be joining my former boss and mentor Gordon Ramsay as well as the awesome Nyesha Arrington as one of the mentors for #NextLevelChefUK.”
He added: “I cannot wait for the competition to begin, stay tuned for the launch date!”
From GREAT BRITISH MENU TO MASTERCHEF
After competing in the season six of the Great British Menu, where he won the dessert course with a dish called Trip to the Fairground, Paul has been a regular TV presence across a variety of programs.
Paul is a regular guest chef on BBC's Saturday Kitchen and a regular chef BBC's Yes Chef.
In 2017, Paul also appeared as a guest chef on the TV series MasterChef, creating dishes for the US Ambassador to the UK, cooked by the show's contestants.
Since 2018, he has appeared as a judge on Great British Menu.
Working with Gordon Ramsay
Paul began working with Gordon Ramsay and the chef's Gordon Ramsay restaurants in 2000, where he joined the three Michelin-starred Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, before moving to Pétrus, a Gordon Ramsay restaurant London, headed by Marcus Wareing.
