Now in it's 16th year and created by Northcote's Nigel Haworth, the much anticipated Obsession has announced an enviable line up.

It’s a feast in every sense of the word, a celebration, a fiesta, a festival of incredible food and wine - and it's back starting January 22.

Obsession was born when Nigel Haworth travelled to California in 2000, he was inspired to create a food festival in the UK. January seemed like the perfect time to him to hold such an event to increase the trading period. “Now it’s the busiest time of year,” explained Nigel when he spoke to The Staff Canteen about Obsession 15. “People want to come back year after year.”

Having been at Northcote for 30 years now, and Obsession running for over half that time, Nigel was impressed by the continuous support it still receives. He also revealed the recipe for Obsession success. “It’s getting the really interesting chefs with the great personalities as well as being great cooks,” he explained. “The food’s just been amazing. When you do events like this, you always expect it to be good, but it really surpassed all expectations.”

But Obsession is not just about the food, the wines, the service, it's not formulas that make great festivals, it’s the people; the chefs; the staff and the guests at the 16th year of Obsession, when they celebrate 16 nights of pure gastronomic brilliance!
