Norman’s Café in Tufnell Park, North London, has announced its closure after five years.

The owners shared the news on Instagram, stating that their last day open will be June 8. Until then, the café will operate on a walk-in basis only .

Since its establishment in 2020, Norman’s Café has become a beloved spot known for its modern take on traditional British café fare.

It was known for offering a modern, high-quality take on traditional British café favourites. The menu was designed to evoke nostalgia.

Breakfast offerings were a staple, with classic options such as the full English breakfast, featuring bacon, sausage, eggs, beans, hash browns, and toast.

For lunch, the café served comforting sandwiches and platters, such as chicken escalope sandwiches with spicy mayo, burgers with chips, and rotating daily specials such as roast chicken with gravy.

Norman's gained further attention during London Fashion Week in September 2023 when Burberry took over the café for a special event .

The owners expressed gratitude to their customers and staff, mentioning their excitement to continue developing what they've started at Norman’s through other avenues.

The post read: “After five great years of Norman’s Cafe we have made the very tough decision to close our location in North London.

“Our last day open will be Sunday 8th June 2025 and we will be walk ins only until then.

“We would like to thank all of our customers & regulars who have dined with us & have shown the cafe support since we have opened. To all our amazing staff past & present, Thank you for all your hard work.

“We are both excited to progress and develop with what we have started at Norman’s through other avenues & look forward to hopefully seeing some of you again soon.”
