After an extensive refurbishment and a five month closure The Private Room at The Ivy is now re-open with The Ivy restaurant itself confirmed to open on Monday 1st June.

Bringing a fresh new look, The Private Room has been fashioned by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio - showcasing new soft furnishings and decor whilst remaining true to The Ivy roots with harlequin stained glass windows and oak panelling.

Up to 60 guests can be accommodated for breakfast, lunch or dinner, with 32 on one long oval table, or up to 60 guests on six round tables. There is a bar and reception area, which is ideal for drinks beforehand. The whole Private Room has a capacity of 100 for cocktail and canapé receptions.

Music is still very much on the agenda with the baby grand nestling in the corner, and a jazz trio may also be used for events. A collection of contemporary art and the re-styled bar give a real sense of elegance to The Private Room.

The space is versatile and ideal for many different occasions from networking breakfasts to business lunches, book launches to dinner presentations, and birthday and anniversary celebrations to wedding or civil partnership receptions.

And of The Ivy…

In the kitchen, executive chef Gary Lee remains at the helm and has created a new menu that comprises recognisable Ivy staples alongside modern dishes with international influences. Director of The Ivy Fernando Peire will lead a strong and experienced front of house team to deliver the same, excellent service for which The Ivy has become well known over the years.
