10) Tom Kerridge set to open new pub in Marlow

The news that Tom Kerridge is opening a new pub in the same town as The Hand and Flowers was very popular, being our 10th most viewed article during this period. Read more about the new pub here as well as our interview with Tom himself where he talks about his new venture

9) Seven restaurants awarded four rosettes in the 2015 AA guides This year’s AA awards presented seven new restaurants with the prestigious four rosettes, and Nathan Outlaw with the Chefs’ Chef of the Year award. Read more about the awards and the winner here

8) Dorset’s only Michelin-starred restaurant, Sienna, set to close

The news that Dorset’s only Michelin-starred restaurant, Sienna is closing in April next year surprised us all in December and comes in at number eight as our most viewed article in this second half of the year. 7) The 2015 Michelin Guide is released: winners here Michelin is one of the biggest events in the industry every year, and this year was no exception. Although there were no two or three stars, there were 14 new one stars this year, including new entries like City Social and Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen. See the full list here including those that unfortunately lost their star.  

6) Sunday Times top 100 Restaurants top 20 revealed

Another list of awards here, as we revealed the top 20 of Sunday Times Top 100 Restaurants before the full 100 were revealed. This year’s winner Marc Wilkinson’s Fraiche in Oxton was joined in 2nd place by Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons. Read who made the top twenty here  

5) Michelin Guide 2015: The list More popular than the winners was the full Michelin Great Britain and Ireland list, all laid out for people to press ctrl+f and search for their favourite restaurant. See the full list here to see who now has what  

4) Are chefs overworked and underpaid? In our most viewed editorial by far, we asked whether chefs are overworked and underpaid. Responses were so good that we made a follow-up article from them as it was certainly a topic that got you lot talking. Read the original article here

3) Ramsay's 'London NYC' to close Michelin star chefs always get a lot of views and comment, but none more so than Mr Ramsay. The closure of his New York City restaurant is big news and elicited an interesting discussion on Facebook regarding Michelin stars and the move from fine dining to casual dining.

And the most viewed article in this half of the year was:

1) Harden's 2015 guide notes record London growth It seems Harden’s is bigger news than Michelin as this is our number one article of the last few months. The release of this year’s Harden’s guide to London restaurants saw Heston Blumenthal’s Dinner restaurant at the Mandarin Oriental and Marcus Wareing at the Berkeley appearing in the ‘most disappointing cooking’ list among others.
