Shake Shack UK and Action Against Hunger launch 2nd Great British Shake sale
Starting on May 1st, Shake Shack UK will kick off their second annual Great British Shake Sale with funds raised going towards Action Against Hunger, an international humanitarian organisation committed to ending child hunger, with Shake Shack aiming to raise over £5,000 by 31st May.
A company-wide cause marketing initiative taking place between 1st and 31st May 2015, at Shake Shack Covent Garden, the goal is to raise awareness and funds with guests who donate £2.00 or more will receive a voucher for a complimentary hand-spun shake valued at £5.00.
Action Against Hunger has been working with the food and drinks industry for more than 17 years. Their ‘Love Food Give Food’ campaign unites restaurants across the UK to take action against hunger. Everyone, from well-known chef ambassadors, restaurants and food producers, as well as those who simply love to cook, can take a small action to make a big difference. The £2.00 donations can help provide a two-day supply of therapeutic food used to nurse an acutely malnourished child back to health.
Emma Cullingford Head of Food Related Fundraising at Action Against Hunger said: “We are absolutely delighted to be a part of the Great British Shake Sale again this year. It’s amazing to have this support from Shake Shack who believe in Action Against Hunger’s lifesaving work.
Shake Shack UK is serving up four delicious frozen custard flavours, one for each week of May’s ‘Custard Calendar’. Frozen custard flavours will include:
- Red Velvet
- Cookies N’ Chocolaty Cream
- Candied Apple
- Strawberry Cheesecake
