Following the success of Maria Elias and James Cornwall’s recent takeovers at Ember Yard, Salt Yard Group invites celebrity chef Stephen Terry to its Opera Tavern restaurant on 1st June.

Stephen Terry was awarded his first Michelin star at the age of 25 and has worked with some of the best chefs in the world. Stephen was mentored by Marco Pierre White at Harvey’s and then moved on to La Gavroche to work under the direction of Michael Roux Jr. This was followed by a season at The Breaval Old Mill under Nick Nairn and two years at The Canteen in Chelsea Harbor.

Using this introduction to classical French cookery as the foundation to his own food philosophy, Stephen has now moved onto his own venture. Stephen is now the executive chef and owner of The Hardwick in Abergavenny.

Ben Tish, chef director of Salt Yard Group, worked for Stephen at both Frith Street Restaurant in Soho and the legendary Coast restaurant in Mayfair. Ben has now invited Stephen to join the Opera Tavern team for one night only.
