The Sportsman in Kent has been named the UK's best restaurant for the second year running in the Estrella Damm National Restaurant Awards 2017.

Run by chef patron Stephen Harris, the Michelin-starred pub restaurant in Seasalter beat some of the UK's top restaurants to hold on to the top spot once again.

The Ledbury came in second place and took home The Service Award. Andrew Wong's A Wong restaurant jumped thirteen places to number 3 and last year's One to Watch, Som Saa, in Shorditch came in at number 4.

Last year there were no Asian restaurants in the top ten now there are three as Kiln took the number nine spot.
