The Staff Canteen Launches Front of House Networking Events Throughout the UK

The Staff Canteen

The Staff Canteen, the leading networking community for chefs with over 100,000 members, is excited to announce the launch of its nationwide front of house (FOH) networking event lunches across the UK, commencing on the 8th of April, 2024.

The exclusive lunch events aim to bring together 15 front of house professionals, including General Managers, Restaurant Managers, and individuals with purchasing authority, for an exquisite dining experience at some of the country's most prestigious restaurants. Each event will be hosted by renowned Head Chefs, promising an unforgettable culinary journey.

Kicking off the series on Monday, 8th April, is Michelin-starred restaurant City Social in London, where guests will be treated to a tantalising tasting menu curated by the renowned Jason Atherton and his executive chef, Paul Walsh. Subsequent events will feature other culinary luminaries such as Luke Tipping of Michelin-starred restaurant Simpsons in Birmingham, Adam Reid at The Midland in Manchester, and Josh Angus at Hide in Mayfair, London, which also holds one Michelin star. The Staff Canteen will be continuing to run their Chef Networking events which occur monthly across the UK as well.

In addition to exceptional networking opportunities within the industry, attendees will have the chance to engage with leading sponsors including Ridgeview Wines, Lightspeed, Hoshizaki, Chef Works, and Nespresso.

Simon Frost, Director of Hoshizaki explains how beneficial expanding the networking events are, "We’re delighted to be taking part in The Staff Canteen’s exclusive networking event next month. These unique events bring 15 key decision makers together with experts from across the foodservice industry to provide an insight into what sets suppliers like Hoshizaki apart from the crowd. We’re keen to make lasting connections with our fellow industry leaders, and excited to get to know what challenges these decision makers face, and how Hoshizaki’s forward-thinking designs can help."

Mark Morris, Founder of The Staff Canteen, expressed his enthusiasm for the new initiative, stating, "Launching a FOH event is something The Staff Canteen feel will be so beneficial. We will continue to have our Chef Networking Lunches, but this really gives an opportunity for other key players in hospitality a chance to network in a small and exciting environment."

As part of The Staff Canteen community, members enjoy various perks, including the opportunity to become Member of the Month and vie for recognition in the yearly awards, which celebrate excellence in the hospitality industry.

Matt Gay,  Ridgeview Wines, who will be partaking in the events showed his excitement for the upcoming events, “Having experienced the chef networking events, we know it’s a fantastic way to meet key decision makers in the hospitality sector. These events are a great way to get people engaging with you and your products. The Staff Canteen has put together a great list of venues for 2024, and we can’t wait to get started”.
