Vivek Singh in next Ember Yard takeover

After the previous successful takeovers from Honey and Co’s Stephen Terry and Maria Elia earlier this year, Salt Yard Group’s Ember Yard takeover is back but this time with renowned chef Vivek Singh.

Taking place on 28th September Vivek, who specialises in modern Indian cuisine, will be taking over the grill and serving a selection of tapas-sized dishes chosen to suit the Ember Yard style of cooking over charcoal and wood.

Executive chef of three restaurants across London (The Cinnamon Club, Cinnamon Kitchen and Cinnamon Soho), author of five cookbooks and a regular face on both television and live cookery events across the country, Vivek Singh is one of the most inspiring Indian chefs of his generation.

Ember Yard is the fourth restaurant from Salt Yard Group and takes inspiration from Spanish and Italian methods of cooking over charcoal. Located in the heart of Soho, Ember Yard is a two storey restaurant and bar with an open plan kitchen on the ground floor and a cool and cosy bar on the lower ground floor.

Highlights from the menu include: Roasted and chargrilled Ibérico pork ribs with quince glaze and celeriac purée; Josper roasted baby chicken with charred aubergine purée, sumac and spiced almonds and Steamed and chargrilled octopus with pepperonata and mojo verde alioli.
