In the Michelin Guide UK 2020 there were 187 Michelin-starred restaurants. Only six lucky people will get their hands on ‘The Staff Canteen gold mug’ in 2020 - can you get any more exclusive?

Cara Houchen, Editor of The Staff Canteen, said: “Coronavirus has pretty much cancelled all of the events the hospitality industry knows and loves this year, as a team we wanted to give people something to look forward to and the opportunity to celebrate each other’s success despite going through the hardest times in most of their careers.

“The Staff Canteen Awards will be held virtually for its first year which means anyone can attend, it won’t cost you a penny and you can join in from anywhere!

“We want the winners to be chosen by the whole industry, not us, not a panel of judges but everyone who lives and breathes hospitality every day. We believe you know best and we want to celebrate the people you nominate and vote for.

“If you think you or someone you know deserves to be part of the first The Staff Canteen Awards then make sure you get nominating and voting and one of our exclusive gold mugs could be on its way.”

As well as a gold mug, winners will attend a complimentary lunch along with the sponsors and some of The Staff Canteen team on January 21 at Michelin-starred Carters of Moseley.

Chef and owner Brad Carter said: “We’re really happy to host the awards lunch for The Staff Canteen. Carters of Moseley is a great location being central and I hope to support the winners with an awesome British focused lunch!”
