Ahead of MasterChef: The Professionals 2022, which airs on BBC One every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2 november, we find out more about the chefs taking part.

He has previously worked as a Freelance Chef for Waitrose and John Lewis Sous Chef and as a Sous Chef at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly, London.

Where are you from/where do you live?

London. Grew up in Brixton and spent most of his life in Streatham.

What type of a chef are you?

Sous Chef 

Do you have a favourite type of cuisine?

“My style is modern European food with Jamaican and Asian influences.”

How did you become a chef?

“I got into cooking as a young lad watching and helping my mum and dad around the kitchen - mum being the better cook! What I love about cooking is the way you can be creative with your presentation, memorable flavours, and place your identity or a culture on a plate.”

Where have you worked?

Freelance Chef for Waitrose and John Lewis; Sous Chef at St Pancras Brasserie and Champagne Bar, London; Sous Chef at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly, London

What has been the highlight of your career to date?

“The highlight of my career was being able to cater for people who want a hospitality experience to remember, all from the comfort of their homes with family and friends.”

Why did you want to take part in MasterChef: The Professionals?

“I wanted to test, challenge and push my boundaries as a chef – and what an experience it was too. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity and experience to meet and cook against some incredible chefs and competitors within the catering industry.”
