In anticipation for this year’s Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants awards, the World’s 50 Best Restaurants has announced the #50BestPass campaign in partnership with Mexico.

The social media operation will be available through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, the hashtag taking followers through Mexico’s top three restaurants:

Alongside the behind the scenes insights, #50BestPass will introduce followers to the award-winning chefs. Also, those following will be able to enter a global competition to win a trip for two to Mexico, and their own #50BestPass to attend Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants awards ceremony hosted in Mexico City on the 23rd September. Contestants are encouraged to post images and videos using the hashtag to enter.

The Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants awards have been held in Lima, Peru for the last two years, and the decision to take the ceremony to Mexico City was to showcase Mexcio as a leading gastronomic destination.

William Drew, Group Editor of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Mexico to showcase the diversity and quality of its restaurants and deep-rooted food culture. This campaign aims to reflect Mexico’s status as a global culinary travel destination. It will also provide exclusive access inside the kitchens of some the region’s finest dining destinations.”

The World’s 50 Best Restaurants will be documenting the different cultures and cuisines of Mexico on their website, recommending local restaurants and chefs as they come across them.

Follow the campaign on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
