Jason Atherton wins Chefs’ Chef and Michael Caines' Lympstone Manor gets 5 rosettes in the AA Restaurant Guide 2020!

Jason Atherton takes the crown from last year’s winner Claude Bosi and joins an all-star list of chefs who have been awarded the accolade over the years including Tom Kerridge, Nathan Outlaw and Daniel Clifford

On winning such huge acknowledgement from his peers, Jason Atherton said: “ It’s unbelievable. That’s why I came last minute, I didn’t even believe for a second that I was gonna win it."

He added: “ I think what an honour it is to be voted from all my peers, that says it all. When you look at the amount of talent in the country and they vote for you and say “look that’s our chef this year” like wow, how cool is that. Life’s good, working hard.

Michael Caines, the new five AA Rosette holder said: "I'm relieved and also incredibly proud."

He added, "It's a massive privilege, to go full circle and to achieve our first five rosettes for Lympstone Manor, it's a real landmark after two and a half years of opening."
