Albert Adrià and Virgilio Martinez to collaborate on one-off dinner at LIMA Floral

Top chef, Albert Adrià is to pair up with LIMA group Executive Chef, Virgilio Martinez on a special one-off dinner LIMA Floral in Covent Garden on 7 August.

The pair will be joined by Jorge Muñoz, head chef of Paka, Albert’s Nikkei style restaurant and LIMA Floral’s head chef, Robert Ortiz.

Commenting on the upcoming collaboration, Virgilio said: “Albert and I have been friends for many years and have long discussed the idea of bringing together our experience and approaches to cooking in a one off dinner as a celebration of this friendship. LIMA Floral will provide the perfect setting for us to have fun cooking together in a laid back environment.”

Albert Adrià is best known for working alongside his older brother Ferran at the world-renowned elBulli before its closure in 2011. Since then Albert has gone on to open a series of hugely successful restaurants under elBarri group including the Michelin starred restaurant, Tickets.

Peruvian chef and restaurateur, Virgilio Martinez is probably best known for mixing Peruvian native ingredients with modern cooking techniques. He is also known for his Michelin starred Central restaurant which was named the Best Restaurant in South America 2016 as well as placing at number four on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list.

The menu for the one-off collaboration will highlight Peruvian ingredients and techniques favoured by each chef and be priced at £120 per person with wine pairing available for an additional £50 per person.
