Daniel Fletcher appointed Head Chef at Fenchurch

Chef Daniel Fletcher, formerly of Phil Howard’s The Square which previously held two stars in the Michelin Guide UK, has been appointed head chef of Sky Garden’s, Fenchurch Restaurant operated by events company, rhubarb.

Overseeing a team of 17 that includes the newly appointed senior sous chef Liam Fauchard-Newman from The Ledbury, and sous chef James Southern, also from The Square, Daniel will develop and execute a new menu that reflects his impeccable training.

Daniel Fletcher, head chef, Fenchurch said: “I am extremely excited to join the rhubarb team and embark on this new journey on the 37th floor of this iconic building. My cooking style is fresh, clean flavours with beautiful presentation - and I very much hope guests will enjoy it.”

The new role sees Daniel replace former head chef, Zac Whittle who had been with the restaurant from when it opened in January 2015.

Daniel has worked with some of the country’s most talented chefs

Including: Tom Kitchin at The Kitchin, Edinburgh, and Britain’s youngest Michelin-starred chef Tommy Banks at the Black Swan at Oldstead restaurant in Daniel’s home county of Yorkshire. He has also held several roles in restaurants in Australia, South Africa and New Zealand.
