Biography

Tunde is the chef-founder of pan-African Edinburgh restaurant Farin Road, creating African cuisine with a Scottish slant.

Tunde started Farin Road after searching good quality African food in Edinburgh and Scotland.

After struggling to find suitable quality and supply, the chef-founder decided to create his own offering providing a midway between Scottish and African fare.

After starting out hosting a range of supper clubs, Tunde’s popularity and profile grew, allowing the chef to open a permanent café called Tani Modi, which held dinners on Friday and Saturday.

Tunde’s goal is to showcase African food, and what possibilities and varieties can be displayed.

In 2022, Tunde won Be Inclusive Hospitality’s 2022 Chef of the Year for his efforts with his Farin Road restaurant.
