Sam Grainger, Chef Owner of Belzan, is one of four chefs competing for the North West region on Great British Menu 2023.

Series 18 of the competition starts on January 31 2023 on BBC Two at 8pm and will air for eight weeks.

Sam is going head to head with chefs László Nagy, Danielle Heron and Caroline Martins in a bid to represent the North West in the regional finals, and ultimately cook a dish at the final banquet.

He lists Brad Carter, John Chantarasak and Ronnie Aronica as his personal and professional role models.

This is Sam's first time competing in Great British Menu.
