A further six restaurants have been added to the Michelin Guide for Great Britain and Ireland this month

After publishing The Michelin Guide for Great Britain and Ireland 2022 in February, the guide also announced five additions to its digital guide (which you can access here) in April - Barnacle, Liverpool; Magenta in London, Spearheaded by The Art School chef patron Paul Askew; Heritage, Dulwich, London; The Gunroom, Bontnewydd; The Old Couch Café, Waterford, and Zahter, London.

The tyre company introduced monthly releases last year, but will only list restaurants worthy of a visit between publishing its annual guide: stars, Bib Gourmands and Green stars will continue to be announced annually.

As of this month, the following six restaurants will be listed in the Michelin Guide:

Bath Priory, Bath

Situated in the suburbs of Bath, the Bath Priory is a houseboat with a rear garden and a delightful terrace. The restaurant has a seasonal à la carte menu that showcases the kitchen’s skills. It offers modern British dishes that are executed to the highest quality.

Desserts are a highlight and there’s a good choice of wines by the glass to accompany your meal.

Grace and Savour, Hampton in Arden

Spearheaded by head chef David Taylor, the single-story, red-brick restaurant comes from David's experience in Norway. Since returning home he has searched out the UK’s top producers and these first-class ingredients will be used alongside produce from their own garden once their planting starts to yield results.

The restaurant will have a surprise 15-course menu which will blend classic and modern techniques: some plates are defined by their simplicity, whilst others are eye-catching and elaborate.

Paradise Café, Harrogate

Despite being a garden centre café, Paradise Café is set in a spacious and smart modern space with a terrace overlooking a lake. The restaurant has a frequently changing, seasonal menu full of dishes which are fresh, unfussy and full of flavour.

There is a diverse option for food with plenty for vegetarians and vegans as well as meat options.  Along with a chef’s table. However, booking ahead is a must.

Manifest, Liverpool

Set on the ground floor of a converted warehouse, Manifest has a retro and industrial due to exposed brick and the steel supports still in place. The restaurant specialises in seasonal modern British dishes, that are cooked carefully with complementary flavours and textures, that is paired well with its wine list.

Upstairs at the George, City of Westminster, London

A world away from the simple pub menu that is found downstairs at 18C George, Upstairs at George is an intimate space with the original features of the pub, such as marble fireplaces, Regency windows and ornate plaster ceilings.

It serves a menu of British pub classics, such as dressed crab with portions that are hearty, satisfying and big on flavour. Along with that the bijoux bar with its all-English wine list, which features over 150 wines, is a perfect compliment.

London Stock, Wandsworth, London

The first restaurant from Le Cordon Bleu-trained Assem Abdel Hady and Andres Bernal, London Stock is situated on the site of the former Young’s (Ram) Brewery. The restaurant has a concise, à la carte lunch menu and an 8-course tasting menu at dinner, with dishes that blend British produce and international influences to create brightly coloured and boldly flavoured dishes.
