The Steering Committee of the Hotelympia 10K is pleased to announce the route for the 2014 race has been confirmed and will be located on an easterly route from ExCel, London.

With a flat surface and beautiful views of the Royal Victoria and Royal Albert Docks for everyone to enjoy, this is a 2 x 5km loop route, which is virtually traffic free and as a result some fast times are sure to be clocked up.

The race has teamed up with Sweatshop for a second year who have supplied goodie bags with vouchers to all runners along with many other donations from sponsors.

Springboard have organised for Massage Therapists from the London School of Sports Massage to be on hand; post-race, with a post-race brunch for all involved thanks to the Craft Guild of Chefs.

Beneficiary charity, Springboard UK, Chief Executive Anne Pierce says: “This is a fantastic industry event for hospitality, 2014 sees much greater restrictions for road races in this part of London than in previous years and so we have had to work hard to devise a route that will offer a high class run. We’re very excited to see everyone at the start line.”

You can register to run the race online at www.hotelympia10k.com or download the entry form for postal entry – sometimes easier for team entries.  The event is held under UKA guidelines and runners of all levels, both individuals and teams, are welcome.  See the website for information.

You can also follow the race on Twitter at @Hotelympia10k using hashtag #Hot10k, and by searching Hotelympia 10k on Facebook.
