A Legacy of Excellence in English Sparkling Wine
Nyetimber’s story dates back to 1086, when the estate was recorded in the Domesday Book. The modern chapter began in 1988 with the planting of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier vines in West Sussex — a bold decision that would shape the future of English wine.
In 2006, owner and CEO Eric Heerema acquired the estate with a vision to produce world-class sparkling wine exclusively from estate-grown grapes. Today, Nyetimber owns and farms 11 vineyards across West Sussex, Hampshire and Kent, spanning over 1,000 acres. The chalk and greensand soils, combined with meticulous vineyard management and traditional method production, result in wines known for their precision, elegance and ageing potential.
