Sexy Fish Manchester issues update following incident
Sexy Fish has confirmed that it has carried out a full safety inspection after a piece of art fell from the wall during lunch service on Thursday.
The Manchester restaurant said its team responded immediately, with one minor injury reported.
The incident occurred at the beginning of Thursday’s lunch service when the restaurant was reportedly quiet. A wall-mounted artwork fell into the dining area, striking one diner and causing a minor injury. The guest, who sustained what the venue described as a bruise, has remained in contact with the restaurant’s team.
In a statement posted on its official channels, the venue said: “Yesterday, a piece of art fell off the wall at Sexy Fish Manchester. Our team responded immediately, and is in contact with guests who were dining at the time.
"We are aware of one minor injury, which we believe to be a bruise, and remain in close contact with the guest. As this took place at the start of lunch service, the restaurant was quiet.
"We have carried out a full safety inspection with independent specialists, and the restaurant has reopened as normal from lunch today.
"The safety and wellbeing of our customers and team remains our highest priority.”
Safety checks completed
The update confirmed that the restaurant reopened for normal service today after the safety review. While the incident was minor, the venue stressed that guest wellbeing is paramount and that inspections were carried out with independent specialists to ensure confidence in the dining space.
