Sexy Fish has confirmed that it has carried out a full safety inspection after a piece of art fell from the wall during lunch service on Thursday.

The Manchester restaurant said its team responded immediately, with one minor injury reported.

The incident occurred at the beginning of Thursday’s lunch service when the restaurant was reportedly quiet. A wall-mounted artwork fell into the dining area, striking one diner and causing a minor injury. The guest, who sustained what the venue described as a bruise, has remained in contact with the restaurant’s team.

About Sexy Fish Manchester

Sexy Fish Manchester opened in late 2023 as the first UK site outside London, joining the flagship Sexy Fish on Berkeley Square in Mayfair and the Miami outpost launched in 2022.

The restaurant, located in Spinningfields, has quickly become known for its bold interiors featuring large-scale artworks, striking design and statement installations.

Like its London sister site, it blends Asian-inspired dishes with luxury ingredients and an extensive bar programme.
