The creators behind the one Michelin-starred St John Restaurant have announced their first major opening in over a decade.

The acclaimed Fergus Henderson and Trevor Gulliver have announced the opening of a new St. John located on London's Marylebone Lane, with doors expected to open to the public on 19 October.

Described as a wine-led site, the new venture will be open all day, offering coffees, bread and pastries in the morning, with daily specials accompanying St John staples at lunch and dinner.

Following the news of the opening, the team at St John have confirmed that the wine list will be dominated by France and winemakers known by Trevor and Fergus, as well as an own-label section of St John bins.

Guests visiting the restaurant will experience dishes prepared by head chef Fintan Sharp, which are expected to change daily, though the menu will feature regulars including onion soup, bone marrow toast and parsley salad; deep fried Welsh rarebit; and Middle White chop, chicory and sorrel.

The restaurant itself will be split into two, with upstairs reserved for walk ins and an open-plan dining room downstairs reminiscent of St John in Smithfield.

Fergus, Trevor, and Jon Spiteri opened the original St John restaurant in London's Smithfield in 1994.

Spiteri left a few years later but Henderson and Gulliver have continued to run the business, which includes the St John Bread and Wine restaurant in Spitalfields and bakeries in Neal's Yard and Borough.
