Dorchester, Dorset living in London

What type of a chef are you?

Senior Chef De Partie

Do you have a favourite type of cuisine?

I don’t really have a favourite cuisine because I love so many different dishes coming from all over the world!

How did you become a chef?

I became a chef from working at a small hotel in my home town called Yalbury Cottage and then got an apprenticeship there and got sent up to London

Where have you worked?

Pretty much in two places, Yalbury cottage in Dorchester, and then The Dorchester in London funny enough!

Who are your mentors/role models/people you look up to?

I have two strong professional role models and that’s Jamie Jones my last chef and Jean Philippe Blondet my current chef.

Personal life is all my family. I think every single one of them gives me drive and love that makes me who I am.

What is your guilty pleasure dish?

I love anything in pastry with a lot of Mayo aha!!

What is the best thing / worst thing about being a chef?

Best thing is I get to go to work every day and do what I love! And get paid!

Worst thing is being in a hot kitchen in the summer!
