West London has a new dining destination in Cho Asia, the latest project from Chef Parminder Singh.

Parminder is best known for MasterChef: The Professionals 2022 and as the opening head chef of Michelin-recognised Indian Accent in Mayfair.

With over 15 years’ experience spanning Delhi, New York, and London, he has created a restaurant where the vibrancy of Asia’s street markets meets the finesse of fine dining.

A Menu That Travels Across Asia

Cho Asia’s menu is designed to take diners on a culinary journey across borders. Small plates and starters range from a delicate sweet and sour tuna tartare, to punchy bang bang cauliflower with sriracha mayo, and chilli hoisin duck pancakes.

Bao buns come in a variety of fillings – wild mushrooms and chestnuts, panko-crusted fish with coriander tartare, crispy chicken with sriracha mayo, and chilli garlic duck with pickled cucumber – bridging comfort food with creative flair.

Indian flavours shine through in the slow-braised beef short rib korma, Kolkata-style lamb shank, and paneer baked in cherry tomato butter sauce, while Chinese influences appear in dishes such as lamb and wild mushrooms with oyster sauce, wok-tossed prawns with sambal xo, and garlic pepper mushroom with pak choi.

Desserts balance indulgence and heritage, from sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream to a gently spiced coconut jaggery rice pudding, nodding to both British comfort and Asian tradition.

Wines and Cocktails with a Global Outlook

Parminder's passion for wine is clear in Cho Asia’s drinks programme. The list spans both old and new world regions, carefully curated to complement the variety of flavours across the menu – from spice-driven plates to rich, sauce-led dishes.

Cocktails take inspiration from Asia’s spice routes, with refined non-alcoholic options ensuring all guests can enjoy the experience.

A Neighbourhood Restaurant with Global Inspiration

Located on Lower Richmond Road in Putney, Cho Asia brings theatre and travel to a local West London neighbourhood. The design draws on the bustle of Bangkok’s street stalls and the intimacy of Tokyo’s izakayas, while remaining rooted in the warmth of a community dining room.

The restaurant’s name – Cho, meaning “to choose” – reflects the philosophy that guests can chart their own journey through Asia’s culinary traditions.

Parminder's Culinary Journey

Chef Parminder began his career with Delhi’s prestigious Oberoi Hotels, before moving through kitchens ranked among the World’s 50 Best Restaurants. After relocating to London, he became the opening head chef at Indian Accent, where his cooking helped the restaurant earn its Michelin star.

He has cooked for royalty at Buckingham Palace, catered to some of the world’s most discerning families, and appeared on TV shows.

With Cho Asia, he distils his global experiences into a menu that is authentic, precise, and designed to connect people through food.
