Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global has announced a new partnership with Sea Containers London, bringing a new riverside dining destination to the capital this autumn.

Gordon Ramsay at Sea Containers will become the hotel’s signature restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner to hotel guests, London diners and visitors to the South Bank.

The opening followed a major period of growth for Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global, coming shortly after Gordon opened his 100th restaurant with the launch of Bread Street Kitchen & Bar at 22 Bishopsgate in May 2026.

That City opening formed part of a wider five-concept development at the capital’s tallest office building and marked a significant global milestone for the group.

A new hospitality chapter on the South Bank

The new Sea Containers restaurant will sit directly on the River Thames, with an outdoor riverside terrace offering views across the London skyline.

The concept has been described as refined and contemporary, shaped around the identity of Sea Containers London and its position on the South Bank.

The hotel, inspired by the glamour of a 1920s transatlantic cruise liner, is already home to several food, drink and cultural spaces, including Lyaness from Ryan Chetiyawardana and his team, the 12th Knot rooftop bar and terrace, and Curzon Sea Containers Cinema.

The arrival of Gordon Ramsay at Sea Containers is expected to further strengthen the hotel’s position as a food and drink destination, while giving Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global another high-profile London site rooted in hospitality, design and location.

Design-led dining

The interiors will be designed by Jacu Strauss, creative director and designer of Lore Group.

The design will take inspiration from the building’s transatlantic identity and riverside location, with rich red tones influenced by Blackfriars Bridge and subtle references to classic cruise liner interiors.

The restaurant has been positioned as a destination in its own right, combining Gordon Ramsay Restaurants’ approach to consistency, atmosphere and service with Sea Containers London’s established design-led hotel offer.

Andy Wenlock, CEO of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global, said: “We’re proud to be partnering with Sea Containers London on such a landmark riverside destination.

“From the outset, there was a clear alignment in vision, ambition and commitment to delivering world-class guest experiences.

“Sea Containers London has an unmistakable identity and energy, and together we’re creating a restaurant that captures the vibrancy of the South Bank while upholding the standards of quality, atmosphere and hospitality that define our restaurants globally.”

David Taylor, CEO of Lore Group, said: “Sea Containers London has always been about creating culturally relevant experiences that reflect the energy and creativity of the South Bank.

“Partnering with Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global brings together two brands that share a commitment to quality, originality and world-class hospitality.

“This is an important moment for the hotel and for Lore Group as we continue to invest in destinations with strong identity, character and long-term appeal.”

Continued London momentum

The new opening reflects Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global’s continued focus on high-profile sites across London, from fine dining and premium casual restaurants to large-scale hospitality partnerships.

At Sea Containers London, the group will move into one of the capital’s most recognisable riverside hotels, adding another destination restaurant to a portfolio that has expanded across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America.
