Joe Baker is the chef owner of Number 10 in Jersey and this is his second year in the Great British Menu kitchen - he narrowly missed getting to the finals last year.

Joe studied English at Durham University and then gained a Master's degree in finance in London. Although he was constantly cooking and working in kitchens he finally made the leap to become a chef full-time and gained experience at May The Fifteenth in South London and various other restaurants around the world.

Joe considers himself to be self-taught and moved back to Jersey in 2016 to open his own restaurant, No. 10 in St. Helier, in the same year.

Joe and his team truly believe in being uncompromising about using the best local produce, treated with care and imagination.
