Applications are now open for MasterChef: The Professionals 2021, and the BBC One series is seeking fresh ambitious talent for 14th series of the professional spin-off of the competition.

Months after the 2020 competition was won by chef Alex Webb, it is now time for the ball to get rolling again.

As is now customary, the series will be filmed according to Covid-19 regulations and the production will put stringent measures in place to keep participants safe.

As always, the series will be judged by chefs Marcus Wareing and Monica Galetti and hosted by Gregg Wallace.

And as was the case in 2020, the show will air on BBC One, as previous years of the series have had record viewings, triggering the switch over from BBC Two.

Previous winners (and runners-up!) have seen their profiles raised by the experience, with a number of new professional opportunities. Such chefs include Stu Deeley, Laurence Henry and Craig Johnston, and many more. Find out what previous winners are up to now.
