MasterChef: The Professionals champion chef Alex Webb has left his position of head chef at Square One restaurant in Dunmow and is offering his services as a private chef, promising "some exciting news" to come soon.

The 25 year-old, deceptively talented chef, whose experience includes a stint at the Fat Duck and another at The Savoy, announced the news on Instagram, thanking the team at Square One for his time spent there.

He added that he was available for private dining events on a handful of dates in the coming months, but that news of his next venture would follow shortly:

When he won the competition, Alex said he was eager to make more TV appearances in the future as he enjoyed the experience of behind in front of the cameras, and that his dream was to one day open a restaurant of his own.
