THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS FOR HOSPITALITY ACTION WEEK 2011

Hospitality workers from across the industry and around the country are gearing up for a week-long fundraising festival in aid of industry charity Hospitality Action. The money raised over the seven days will go a long way towards helping hospitality workers and their families in times of need.

The first two Hospitality Action Week's raised a whopping £120,000 through an array of fun and adventures. Themed lunches, skydives, doughnut eating competitions and even a sponsored team meeting held at the top of Scafell Pike helped to reach this figure. This year the charity is campaigning to get every hospitality worker to raise a minimum of £5. HA CEO Penny Moore explained: "We've deliberately set a modest target so that more people will feel able to meet the challenge. Five pounds doesn't sound a lot, but multiply it by 25,000 participants and we'd easily top last year's achievement."

One easy way to help raise money is to enter the HA Big Prize Draw. Books of tickets are just £5 with first prize a fabulous trip to Dubai! Registration is just £20 with each runner asked to raise just £100 sponsorship.
