Who is chef Yasmine Selwood, MasterChef: The Professionals 2021 quarter-finalist?

Introducing Yasmine Selwood, one of 32 chefs taking part in MasterChef: The Professionals 2021, airing on BBC One every Monday, Thursday and Friday from November 8th through to December 24th.

Yasmine is a 34-year-old mother of four and recent graduate of University College Birmingham, who is currently working as a personal chef.

Duirng her studies at UCB, she spent time working at the Michelin-starred Adam's Restaurant on Waterloo Street.

Founder Adam Stokes, in an interview with the Birmingham Mail, said: "Yasmine wasn't

here long with us, but it's great that she's flying the flag for Birmingham.

Having already taken part in a few similar competitions while she was still studying, Yasmine said: "Nothing prepares you for going on to something like MasterChef, but hopefully people in Birmingham will think I've done the city proud."

Yasmine impressed the judges in the skills test and signature challenge, letting her through to the quarter-finals to cook for the critics on Friday, December 3rd 2021.
