Small Contribution. Big Impact.
The Staff Canteen has always been more than a website—it’s a community, built by and for hospitality. We share the wins, the challenges, the graft, and the inspiration that keeps kitchens alive.
We believe in staying open to everyone, but creating this content takes real resources. If you’ve ever found value here—whether it’s a recipe, an interview, or a laugh when you needed it most—consider giving just £3 to keep it going.
A little from you keeps this space free for all. Let’s keep lifting the industry, together.

Almeida is to host a charity dinner to raise money for children’s charity NSPCC. Taking place on Monday 20th April, the North London restaurant, which resides on Almeida Street, will embark on an evening of childhood nostalgia creating a three-course menu inspired by fairytales and folklore of the past and present.
The one night only dinner will be crafted by three prestigious head chefs; Tommy Boland of Almeida, Tim Allen of Michelin-starred Launceston Place and Tom Cook from Pont de la Tour. Award winning journalist and advocate of the NSPCC, Robert Crampton, will be comparing the event, welcoming guests and presenting a range of exciting live and silent auction lots.
