Chefs Eric Ripert and Jose Andres are calling for fans of the late Anthony Bourdain to celebrate his life, legacy and birthday on June 25th, with the launch of Bourdain Day.

The French chef owner of Le Bernardin in New York Tweeted a video of himself and Jose, the Spanish chef who owns a number of restaurants across the US. Both were close friends of the late Anthony Bourdain.

He said: "On June 25th, we all are going to celebrate the birthday of our dear friend and beloved Anthony Bourdain."

The pair, finishing each other's sentences in the light-hearted  clip, said: "We want all of you to celebrate his life by cheering to Tony anywhere you want with anyone you want. We will be using the #BourdainDay and cheering to Anthony."

Raising his glass to the sky, Eric said: "Cheers to you Anthony."

Bourdain Day will celebrate the chef's legacy as one of the world's

most influential cooks and travel and food journalists of the 21st century.
