Chefs pay tribute to legendary French chef Paul Bocuse

Paul Bocuse, celebrated French chef and a leading figure of the Nouvelle Cuisine movement, will be laid to rest today.

Ahead of his funeral at Saint-Jean cathedral in Lyon at 10.30am, chefs around the world have been paying tribute to Bocuse, a culinary trailblazer who was an integral part of a progressive band of chefs who developed a modernised version of classic French cuisine in the late 1960s and 1970s.

hef patron of The Waterside Inn, Alain Roux said he had 'lost a very close friend'. Adding: "We truly lost a great chef. I salute all he achieved in his life and lasting legacy".  Michel Roux called Paul "the greatest chef of all".
