Chet Sharma announces two exciting collab events

Chet Sharma, chef patron at Mayfair’s Indian restaurant BiBi, is kicking off the year with two exciting collaboration events.

On Thursday, February 6, Chet is set to team up with multi-Michelin-starred Yannick Alléno at his restaurant Pavyllon.

As part of Pavyllon’s ‘counter-culture series’, Yannick and Chet will create a six-course menu, with complimentary canapés, combining French flair with Indian creations.

Dishes planned include raw beef pepper fry, as Chet demonstrated during a filming with The Staff Canteen last year (video below).

Chet will also cook Ajwaini turbot and forced rhubarb, while Yannick will serve scallop, pigeon and chocolate dishes.

The event is priced at £190 per person, including a gourmet gift to take away.

A wine pairing is available for an additional £125 per person.

Then, on Saturday, February 22, Chet will welcome renowned Japanese chef Endo Kazutoshi to BiBi.

The one-off dining experience will see the brains behind Michelin-starred Endo at the Rotunda team up with his long-time friend Chet, blending sushi with mastery of spices.

Chet said: “We are so looking forward to hosting chef Endo at BiBi. Ever since we met years ago, we’ve been planning to work alongside one another in the same kitchen.

"Working with someone who is so boundlessly creative and whose cuisine is rooted in a different cultural context to mine is going to make for a truly exciting menu.”

Endo added: “I’m looking forward to cooking with Chet and the BiBi team as it’s a restaurant I love to eat in myself.

"All the flavours are powerful, and I’m excited to use some of them in my cooking on the night. I like to pick up inspiration from all the chefs I cook alongside, whether it’s a new supplier, spice, etc, and I look forward to doing so with this dinner.”

The dinner will be priced at £195 per person, including a welcome drink, with an optional wine or non-alcoholic pairing available on request and is already sold out.
