3 Michelin-starred Chef Clare Smyth’s Oncore restaurant has picked up three hats at The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2023 Awards in Australia.

The achievement comes whilst Clare’s Core restaurant in London holds three Michelin stars, making her the second chef in history to hold both awards at the same time, with only the late French chef Paul Bocuse has also achieved this.

Commenting on their success, in a statement on social media, Oncore said: "We are humbled to be recognised by @GoodFoodAU with Three Hats at last night’s 2023 Good Food Guide Awards. To be nominated for Restaurant of the Year, Chef of the Year @Alan.Stuart & @ChefClareSmyth and Service Excellence Awards @_Michael.Stoddart_ is a testament to the commitment of our team."

It added: "Thank you to our dedicated team who have strived for excellence over the past year, our producers and suppliers whose work helps us achieve the highest standards and our guests who have supported us throughout our journey."

In a post on Instagram congratulating Clare’s success, Oncore’s Head Chef Alan Stuart said: "Congratulations @chefclaresmyth only the second chef ever to hold 3 hats @goodfoodau and 3 Michelin stars @michelinguide after the late great Paul Bocuse. Amazing to be part of history like this. It's an honour to be able to bring your vision of hospitality to Australia."
