In good taste: Scottish food and drink 'Oscars' launched

Recognising excellence across the food and drink industry in Scotland, the awards will be the biggest yet and will take place in their largest ever venue, the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.  Known as the Scottish food and drink industry's 'Oscars',  more than 500 guests  will attend the glamorous ceremony on 22 May, with the event also being recently announced as a media partner of The Herald and HeraldScotland. Fledgling Ruislip Manor food company gets national recognition

RUISLIP Manor food company My Olive Branch has won a top award.  The Mediterranean food firm, owned by partners Kamil Shah and Maria Koinaki, of Linden Avenue, has become the youngest company to be crowned a winner in the The Guild of Fine Food’s Best Brand survey. Read more from GetWestLondon  

The shops in America that only offer food past its sell-by date

A NEW chain of stores in the US seeks to highlight the shocking amount of household groceries we throw untouched in the rubbish bin every week.  Aged food, bruised fruit, misshapen vegetables and expired products that other stores throw out will be offered by The Daily Table supermarket and cafe.
